THE PARARATIONAL, VISIONARY & MYSTICAL PERSPECTIVE

This seminal essay was composed in 1977 by then Associate Professor Gilah Yelin Hirsch at California State University Dominguez Hills (Los Angeles). The text and accompanying student guide were used for a course in Art, Philosophy and Literature. We have chosen to publish the content as JPEG images to preserve its original form. A note within the original text refers to the use of masculine pronouns rather than s/he which became the norm decades later. The decision to continue with the original text was to retain a sense of time and authenticity in which the essay was written.
